Positive and energetic, Marie's cheerful and friendly nature makes it easy for her to connect with others. Born and raised in France to Japanese parents, she grew up navigating the complexities of blending multiple cultures. Due to her indecisive nature and tendency to "love everything and not choose anything," Marie is often described as a "jack-of-all-trades, master of none." Still, she's determined to keep moving forward, learn more about herself, and ultimately find a clear direction for her future.Marie is the producer of NEW DIMENSION's Knights. She was assigned to them with no prior experience or knowledge of the idol industry. With the guidance and support of the members, she gradually grew into a reliable and steady presence for them. Her efforts eventually earned her the affectionate title of “Queen of Knights” after Tsukasa took on the title of King. Though she's beginning to trust in her own abilities, Marie remains eager to learn from other producers and pick up tips to improve her efficiency and impact.

Appearance
Marie has brownish peach, mid-length wavy hair, hazel eyes and a fair complexion. She is slightly shorter than average in height and has an average female build. She is dressed in her standard school uniform, wearing a neatly buttoned up white shirt and a red tie with yellow trimmings at the bottom. She also wears the school blazer unbuttoned and wears the uniform plaid skirt with black knee-high socks and grey doll shoes with red toe tips.
As a Producer of the unit Knights, Marie wears a dark blue coat with white sleeves and a dark blue dress over a white shirt. There’s a vertical blue line on her sleeves with blue cuffs accented with gold. Her white shirt has a black vertical line in the middle and is accented with gold as well. Her shirt collar is blue with gold accented swirl patterns adorning it and, where the buttons would usually be on her jacket, are golden frog closures instead. There are also black epaulettes with gold tassels resting on her shoulders. From her left epaulette are two golden strings, which lead to a blue banner pinned on the right side of her chest with the fleur de lis symbol on it. Her skirt is dark blue, with a dark grey middle piece with white stripes and gold trimmings. She wears a thick dark grey belt with four golden buttons on them, gold lines adorning the sides, with two golden beaded chains hanging off from the side. Her knee-high boots are white, with a thick black line going down the boot with accented gold laces. Marie wears black gloves with her index and middle fingers being fingerless.

Personality
Friendly and cheerful, Marie is the kind to quickly make friends at any given occasion. As she’s curious and easy-going, she is also an agreeable conversation partner. Marie isn’t afraid to go towards others and lend a hand if needed. She can be quite stubborn when people refuse her help, which is why she may seem pushy at times. Despite her seemingly “cute” and “naive” demeneor, Marie is responsible and give her all when being tasked anything. She also has a more serious side merging at times. Others often tell she overflows with energy, and she’s athletic, having particularly strong legs allowing her to jump high or do moves similar to parkour.
Being born and raised in France, her personality can seem too bright and “different” from a Japanese point of view, and she has a very expressive face so people can easily guess what she’s thinking or feeling.
Her fatal flaw is her incapability to choose, leading her to switch interests quickly and not being “very good” at any of them. She claims liking too many things to be able to choose, and can’t seem to want to compromise either.

Etymology
Her parents called her "Marie" so she could either live in France or in Japan.
"Marie" is a variation of the given name "Maria". It can mean "beloved" or "wished-for child" according to the language.
The Japanese version of her name (真理, read as "mari") means "truth". Her family name, Amamiya, combines the characters for the "heavens" and the "constellations".

Trivia
As she was born and raised in France, Marie is fluent in French. Ever since transferring school to Japan, she does her best to completely talk in Japanese, but can’t help to sometimes let out one or two words in French in her sentences. She feels embarrassed when it happens and tries to correct herself by finding the right word in Japanese.
Her mother is the head fashion designer of a rising fashion agency, while her father runs his own bakery as a pastry chef. Although she admired both worlds, Marie preferred making clothes more than cakes. With a strong curiosity and a desire to grow as a designer, she enrolled at Yumenosaki Academy, hoping to explore fashion beyond her usual scope and gain hands-on experience.
Marie lives with her dad and their cat Chantilly near the pastry shop. Her mom is living in France but tries to come back every 4-5 months. Marie was going to school in France but her mom judged it was better she gets a proper education in Japan so she asked her husband to establish his shop there and allow their daughter to attend school in Japan.
She can play Idobato. Tsukasa always enthusiastically talks about it to her and taught her how to play to help him farm for items when he can’t use his phone (during work or practice). He’s asking her to roll for him when it comes to items he wants too, and he also helped Marie create her account.
She's scared of horses due to an event happening in her childhood.

Early Years
Marie was born and raised in France to a pastry chef and a fashion designer. Both of her parents are Japanese, who left their hometown in order to chase their respective dreams in a foreign country.
She attended school in France until middle school 2nd year. As such, French is her native language and she learnt Japanese thanks to interactions with her parents and additional classes.
A social butterfly since childhood, she was often seen playing in a nearby park with mainly boys. Girls were scared of her because she was “behaving like a monkey” by climbing trees or getting in (friendly) fights with boys. Because of that, she never really had “girlfriends” at school.
Her “boyfriends” were really protective of her even though she didn’t ask for protection. They accepted “friendly” fights amongst their circle but were fighting boys for Marie if they weren’t part of the circle and wanted to fight her
Disliked injustice since childhood. She always tried to include kids she was seeing alone in her circle so everyone could have their fun
Never really had (romantic) success with boys, she was only seeing them as playmates and same from the other side
Had no chill kicking them between the legs when they were teasing her too much. This led some boys to be scared of them too
Really appreciated by the neighborhood because of her easygoing and sunshine-like personality. Her mom confides always getting extra food or gifts when she was going out grocery shopping with her in the shopping street
Her clothes were often dirty when going back home from school. She caused lots of worries to her mother because of that
Her parents began to project their own idea of her future job onto her, leading them to initiate her during her free time to fashion design and pastry.

Last Year (Enstars! Era)
Marie first heard of idols when one of her friends brought her to a live concert featuring her faves. She was just enthusiast going out with her friend and know about her interest
Her friend talks about Yumenosaki Academy which includes a Producer course. She recommends Marie to join as she could get better at designing skills by thinking of various outfits for idols.
Marie thinks it’s interesting as she never designed any idol outfit, and her curiosity leads her to make some research about Yumenosaki
Thanks to her mother’s connections, she manages to take the entrance exam and join. She’s affiliated to class 1-A and meets her first idol friend here, Shino Hajime
Through various discussions and conversations, the two of them get along well, and Hajime suggests she could apply to become Ra*bits producer, which she accepts
She joins the track and field club
Idol course organizes a welcoming live event for producer course students, in which all registered units perform one-two songs in order for the students from producer course to write down on a paper which unit they’d like to produce.
Marie writes down, in order: Ra*bits, Ryuseitai, fine. She originally wanted to remain unaffiliated but her teachers didn’t accept it as each student had to be affiliated to one unit.
She finally ends up being assigned to Knights as their producer

KNIGHTS

Suou Tsukasa
They met a few weeks after Marie enrolled to Yumenosaki. She was about buying sweets at the nearby sweets shops for a gathering she used to attend. There, she comes upon Tsukasa who's literally hoarding lots of snacks and Marie is taken aback seeing the amount of snacks flowing from his arms and internally cries thinking of the money he could've save if taking discounted bundles. She calls out at him and her social butterfly stance does the rest, she sees he's a fellow Yumenosaki student but he's not in her class so she introduces herself to him and he does the same, she's literally so excited to make a friend in another class than hers and considers him as her "first friend from the other class". She ends up giving him recs on new sweets and her faves since she's a regular at the shop and it was Tsukasa's first time there.
The two of them continue to come upon one another at the same sweets shops and talk joyfully about sweets. Marie appreciates him while being intimidated by his elegant and mature demeneor.
Marie first applied to become Ra*bits producer but ended up being assigned to Knights. That's how their relationship deepens. She slowly discovers more about his living style totally different from hers, and Tsukasa is also very interested into hers so they regularly exchange about it, being mutually curious about the other. Spending time together and talking just contribute for their initial attraction to deepen.
Marie first felt self-conscious about him during a performance of “Checkmate Knights” when Leo wasn’t back yet. He was still inexperienced and made quite a lot of choreography mistakes. If the performance was flowing perfectly, he wouldn’t stand out from the others, but it's because of his mistakes that disrupted the performance that Marie noticed him more than the others. When noticing his mistakes, more than wanting to mock him or laugh at his mistakes, Marie just wanted to encourage him and push his back, considering they bonded over sweets and knowing how kind he is. She thought she couldn’t leave him alone and always had to look over him somehow.
That’s when she began to look at him more than she would look at other Knights’ members.
After that one performance and the attraction being mutual without them realizing it, they’re seen blushing around one another almost constantly and give the feeling of being “close” while they’re unconsciously trying to charm the other. They’re having much fun making cakes together, and Marie had the opportunity to see him horse riding, which only deepened her crush on him, witnessing his cool side.

Tsukinaga Leo
They meet before Leo makes his official return before Judgment, in the nearby park. After talking a bit, Leo discovers she was appointed as Knights’ producer and is looking for the “true leader”. There, Leo straightforwardly unveils he is. After a certain “something” that happened during their first meeting, Leo feels like he has a debt to repay to Marie, and takes a liking to her for helping him. He even says he would’ve “died” if she wasn’t here. He asks Marie to help him organize Judgment and “allows” her not to take his side and stay with the others in order to help them.
An emotional moment took place between them when Leo tells “goodbye” to her in the backstage of Judgement, saying he was “glad to meet her and interact even if it was a little”. He also smiles widely saying he has no regret “leaving Knights knowing they now have an exclusive producer”, causing Marie to get teary and believe he would really either disband Knights or leave the unit.
After Leo makes his official comeback in the unit after Judgment, he spends most of his time “professing” his love to Marie, even making her blush when calling her “Mariri” (she thought he was intentionally calling her the French way “Ma Lili”, meaning he’d “claim her” as his belonging, but Leo only thought of “Mari” + an additional “ri” to make it cuter and less boring), telling she is “Knights’ goddess” and even using his authority as leader to make other “respect her as such”.
The two of them have a warm and friendly relationship, and Marie admires his talent as a composer. He’s always open to help her when she asks, and worries about her wellbeing, even letting her sleep on his shoulder under the kotatsu. One of the reasons Leo takes a liking to her is also because she’s one of the only in the unit to play along with him, not minding his “weird antics” and replying back to his energetic greeting “Ucchuu~ ! ☆” the same way he is. Marie also replies back that she “loves him” when he professes his love to her, much to Tsukasa’s dismay.
As a producer, she also helps Tsukasa looking for him when he suddenly disappears or gets lost in the school. She’s also ensuring he gets good sleep and doesn’t bother others by suddenly composing on the floor or by writing on the walls.

Sena Izumi

Narukami Arashi

Marie and Arashi had a good impression of each other at first sight. Marie initially has a “crush” on Arashi during their first meeting, seeing “him” as “handsome”, but once she knows about Arashi’s true nature, her feelings change to admiration. Arashi dotes on Marie as a big sister, and it’s not rare to see her hugging Marie, telling her how cute she is. Marie returns the feelings and loves Arashi lots. Arashi is incredibly supportive of Marie and does everything she can to ensure Marie has a pleasant experience as Knights’ producer. Within Knights, Arashi is Marie’s greatest ally and best friend.

Sakuma Ritsu

After their unforgettable first meeting, Marie gets a bit repulsed by him, but quickly changes minds after seeing he was amongst the ones to welcome her warmly as his unit’s producer. Even after that, she doesn’t know how to approach him as he seems difficult to deal with, but Ritsu always has supporting words towards her, in addition to acting friendly with her, which helps her talk to him with ease. He’s always reminding her to talk to him casually. As time passes, the two are seen having funny interactions as Ritsu likes to use her as a pillow or ask her if he “can have a taste of her blood”. It’s not rare to see Marie running around the school screaming his name when she looks for him. She’d then bring him back by the collar or by dragging him along. Later, Marie becomes a pro at motivating him by sending pictures of his girlfriend Kaori and gets really good at finding him when he wants to slack off, remembering all of his favorite napping spots.

Ritsu appreciates she lets him sleep whenever he wants and seems to play along with his “weird remarks”. He finds her nice and easy to interact with, and he likes(?) to hug her, saying she smells good and that she’s soft like “a peach”. They value each other’s opinions and Marie appreciates his input as the unit’s strategist. She always does her best to accommodate his plans.

Overview

She has a good relationship with her parents. They both value her independence, while strongly wishing she’d choose either pastry or fashion designing as her future job. However, Marie also likes sports and took a liking at producing idols, and more generally, at working in the entertainment industry. This conflict and her tendency not wanting to choose is the trigger of a darker side of her personality.

Amamiya (née Nogabe) Chizuru - Mother
Head fashion designer of "Rêve Clair" ('rebukure' in Japanese). Marie's mother is working between France and Japan, providing various outfit designs for her clients.
Trivia:
- Chizuru is working under the name of "CHIZU". She is the head designer of a project called "1000 Beauties", where she is selecting people to pose with her designs. The lucky people pose with the design, have a photoshoot and a short interview featured in a fashion magazine. Based on the "1000 cranes" concept, she is hoping to make her mother recognize her dream by the end of the project.

Amamiya Yuuzo - Father
Pastry chef. He owns a pastry shop that is famous amongst locals and is situated near Yumenosaki Academy, called "Bonheur Eclair". He has regular customers coming back everyday to buy pastries for their breakfast. He's also making order-made cakes for occasions such as wedding and birthdays.
He's saving since years to fulfill his dream to extend his shop and add a small cafe. Marie's tendency to chase after discounts during HS 1st year stems from her desire to help him fulfilling his dream.
Trivia:
- His mentor was the main pastry chef for the Suou family. He had to follow him once at the Suou mansion, where he met Tsuaksa's dad. He still keeps a picture from that day, where he and Tsukasa's dad are smiling on the same picture.
